This was my entry to the ILM Art Department Challenge at ArtStation, in which we had the briefing of creating some new situation in the Star Wars universe utilizing the visuals – characters, environments, props… – shown in episodes IV, V and or VI.
What drove me to draw this was that we see the cute little creatures with their spears and weapons in Endor, but we never imagine them having their hunted meat. I’d thought it seemed cool to picture that.
I had a Python script for printing out Portuguese numbers that I wasn’t much satisfied with, so I decided to improve, expand it and finally post it around here. It works like:
OUTPUT: “menos cento e vinte Reais e trinta e quatro centavos”
“Três João” is a short student film from PUC-Rio’s Cinema college, in which I had the pleasure to contribute with visual effects for it’s last scene.
the scene required two goldenfishes jumping against each other in an open ocean, filmed by the recording crew. they were sculpted in ZBrush, rendered with Arnold, composited in After-Effects and everything else done in Softimage.
yesterday was my girlfriend’s birthday and alongside her gift I wanted to make a picture of her. here is the result, entirely done with Photoshop’s brushes ::
reel of the virtual inserts I’ve been doing at Globosat. They all play at the midgame of soccer matches of SporTV’s channel.
mostly modeled and animated in Softimage and assembled and shaded in Viz Artist, for the live playback.
please watch it in HD. And thanks, hope you enjoy ::
Last week Globosat Network was contemplated with an Promaxbda Global Excellence Award for it’s Olympics Games package, under the specialized category of Art Direction & Design: Special Event Campain (Olympics) for 2013.
This Award means a lot for the whole team, which worked united as ever to deliver the best broadcast graphics. Our team was in charge of the realtime graphics and virtuals, done in VizRT. Here’s a little snippet of how we’re happy ::
